American, circa 1970. Pair of Eames soft pad group lounge chairs from the Herman Miller Aluminum Group series introduced in 1958 and modified by Charles and Ray Eames 11 years later by the addition of plush cushions. Each chair streamlined and covered in brown leather with graduated four cushion back on a swivel base. Approximate height 38.5", width 25.5" (arm to arm), seat depth 18", seat depth 15".
Both chairs are in very good condition; structurally sound. Very minor scratches to the metal. Minimal fading to the leather. There is very minor tearing to the leather at the top back at the scroll and under the seat at the scroll; commensurate with age and usage. Neither chair retains original tag.
