Pair of 20th century Chinese Chippendale style paint decorated cabinets by Maitland Smith, re-purposed, with breakfront pediment over a conforming case centered with 6 drawers flanked to each side by astragal mirrored doors, the lower case with three frieze drawers raised on simulated cluster bamboo legs united by a similar crossed stretcher. Maitland Smith tag inside center frieze drawer and on back of cabinet. Height 73.75", width 57.15", depth 18.5".
Cabinets were originally "Pagoda" china cabinets. The pagoda top and three quarter pieced gallery have been removed. The glass door faces and sides have been replaced with mirrors. Cabinets were probably a mahogany finish and have been re-painted.
