- Lot Description
Chinese, late Qing Dynasty. Pair of Chinese parcel gilt and red lacquered architectural wall panels in vertical form and probably depicting the narrative based on the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" with 26 warriors in four sections, some on horseback, all in fighting stances and displaying various weapons, under pavilions and symbolic trees. Approximate size 25.62", width 4.87", depth 2".
Condition
Under black light examination, no apparent repairs. Overall with minor gilt loss - likely intentional to design. No apparent losses or fractures. Some surface residue apparent, especially to crevices, therefore may benefit from cleaning.
