Chinese, Qing Dynasty, Guangxu Period (1871-1908). A matched pair of porcelain famille rose baluster form urns with flared rims, each with shaped cartouches to either side of bulbous body with yellow background decorated with phoenixes and chrysanthemum blossoms, teh urns with lappet band to round foot, and floral blossoms in many colors on a pink ground, with applied fu dog handles to neck and dragons to shoulder. Marked to underside with four character red underglaze Guangxu imperial reign mark. Approximately 10.375" tall.
Chips to both vases on rim of mouth, one with obvious chip and repair to same area with some color loss at mouth. Scattered glazing imperfects and firing holes. Small, minute flea bite to one of the fu dog handles. Wear to foot on both vases commensurate with age.
