Pair of Chinese carved ivory figural sculptures of an emperor and empress each standing at full length on faux ivory octagonal base with characters, flowers and dragons in panels Figures wearing long robes with stylized waves, dragons, clouds, and phoenix birds. Each holding tasseled strands, man with sword. Marked on bottom with incised character marks. Approximate height 23.25", width 5.25", depth 4.8".
Condition
Male figure with glued break to hand holding beaded necklace and losses to top of hat. Woman with losses at center top of hat.
