Chinese, Qing Dynasty Guangxu Period mark (1875-1908), likely later. Pair of complimentary baluster turned porcelain vases with garlic mouths and mythical beast mask ring handles, one side of the bulbous body painted with a mountainous landscape scene and figures, the other side with a brown bird perched on a flowering branch, each vase with black calligraphic marks and red seal marks to neck. Underside of each with iron red overglaze six character Chien Lung imperial reign mark. Approximate height 16.75", width across handles 10".
Each with scattered dirt and grime on exterior, may benefit from light professional cleaning. A few small visible glazing imperfections throughout. Under black light examination, no signs of damage, loss or repair. Each with wear to foot with scattered nicks and flakes. No other signs of damage, loss or repair.
