French, early 20th century. Pair of French gilt bronze and marble two-arm candelabras, with transitional neoclassical Louis XVI and Louis XV style, with urn form gilt bronze and white marble finial, with cylindrical white marble shaft surmounted by c-scrolled acanthus and laurel gilt bronze arms with fleurettes and grapes, arms surmounted by Louis XVI style wax cups with faux candles later electrified, base with two gilt bronze kneeling and winged putti, with putti embracing acanthus wreath surrounding base of marble shaft, marble base with brass foliate overlay, base with five toupe feet. Overall approximately 17.125" x 10" x 5".
Overall with dirt and grime, would benefit from light professional cleaning. Each with drill hole to reverse of marble shaft. Each with minor nicks and dings to marble base, not distracting and commensurate with age. Each with minor dings and surface scratches to toupe feet commensurate with use. One candelabra with loose overlay to marble base, not distracting. No apparent repairs.
