• Lot Description

  English, 19th/20th century. A pair of George III style oblong lead planters, each ovular in form, having an oxidized surface and a molded rim and base, with relief decorations of a central lion flanked by foliated swags on both the front and back sides. Drilled for drainage. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 10", width 30.625", depth 10.625".

  Condition

  Wear commensurate to age and use. Water staining, particularly to interior, some paint drips, denting and scratching, most noticeably to edges. Surface is uneven. No other visible signs of damage or repair.
