Chinese, likely 19th century Qing Dynasty. A pair of archaic squared gu form porcelain vases converted to lamps, the white glazed porcelain with anhua and relief decoration to the body formed of flaring squared foot, everted cube center, and flaring rim, the decoration of leaf tips and other archaic patterning, the porcelain to a bronze square foot of pedestal form decorated with leaf tips band, with double socket to top. Approximate overall height to finial 24.5", width of base 4.75" square. Vase approximate height 11.75", width of mouth 4.125" square.
Vases not separated from mounts during examination. Light oxidation and wear to patination of metal mounts at top and bottom. Each with scattered glaze craquelure, however, stable. One with small enamel loss to corner with darkened area. Possible losses to feet hidden by mounts and not visible or distracting. Each lamp would benefit from light professional cleaning as there is visible dirt and grime. No other visible damage, loss or repairs.
