- Lot Description
Nikolai Lieberich (Russian, 1828-1883),"Standing Bear", patinated bronze sculpture, incised on naturalistic base in Cyrillic, front plaque with text in Russian noting "Killed by the Emperor near Lisina 9 March 1865". Animal sculpture depicting a realistically rendered standing bear with front paws dropped hanging over broken tree stumps and branches. Overall supported on a black marble hexagonal base. Overall approximate height 23", width 15.5", depth 12.5".
