Widdicomb Furniture Company (American, founded 1858), 20th century. A Neoclassical style circular breakfast, dining or center table having an extending round top cross banded with satinwood and ebony stringing over a apron decorated with Greek key and rope twist molding raised on turned standard with molded acanthus on concave quadripartite platform, terminating on bun feet with casters. Approximate height 30", diameter of top 53.5", additional leaf 20.4".
Structurally sound. Top is in very good condition with very small wear to edge of table probably from contact with chairs. There is a chip with loss to one of the Greek keys on the frieze. Table becomes oval with the insertion of leaf. Leaf also in very good condition.
