Native American (likely Sioux), early 20th century. A beaded pipe bag, of hide composition, with single-face colorful lane-stitched (lane stitch) glass seed beads in bands of red and white with yellow horizontal diamonds, with short hide fringe at top, with hide string closure, with long hide fringe at bottom. Length excluding fringe approximately 16.5".
Beadwork in overall excellent condition. Hide with signs of wear and soiling commensurate with use. Hide fringe with losses, not distracting.
