National Store Specialty Co. (American (Lancaster, Pennsylvania), early 20th century. A restored cast iron fan form countertop candy scale with four pound limit presented in allover cherry red enamel paint with removable brass teardrop shaped bowl on right and fan form white scale dial on left raised above a shield form mount that is decorated with vertical bands of alternating red, white, and blue set below molded silvered metal field inscribed with "National Store Specialty Co. Lancaster, PA". Verso of scale with glass band at top of fan dial for customer viewing weight measurement surrounded by applied silvered metal plaque with decoration in relief, with decals below "Honesty Weight Shown Above" and "Pennsylvania, The National Store Specialty Co. Lancaster, PA.". A white metal plaque on center top of base surrounds a level and is inscribed "M", "4", and "No. 3594", likely serial or style number. Accompanied by brass scoop. Allover approximate size without brass bowl14.25" tall x 13" wide x 5.5" deep. Brass bowl approximately 10.5" wide x 8" deep x 3.25" tall.
