Moser (Bohemian, founded 1857), late 19th century. A cranberry and jeweled enamel 'pillow' vase, decorated with enameled quatrefoil each containing stylized leaves centered with cobalt jewels, alternating with panels on dark gray enamel with scrolling tendrils issued from a ruby jewel, the whole outlined in gilt and terminating on four applied gilt enameled glass scrolled legs. Marked to the underside in gilt '1099 8'. Approximate height 4.75", width 2.6", depth 1.25". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Overall good condition. Minor wear to the gilt enamel particularly on the mouth rim and the scrolled feet. Small chip and flea bite on rim of mouth. One foot with small chip with possible repair, fluoresces under blacklight (see image #5).
