Moser (Bohemian, founded 1857), late 19th century. Moser cranberry glass with gilt enamel 15 piece punch bowl set comprised of a large circular under-tray with recessed center fitted for the punch bowl foot, the round covered and footed punch bowl with flattened circular knob handled lid with notched lip to accommodate ladle, the ladle in colorless blown glass bowl with long curving applied handle, polished pontil on the ladle cup with crimped spout; and twelve matching cups, each with a gilt covered handle on turned colorless foot. Each piece with gilt banding and decorated with copious amounts of gilt enamel in the form of large scrolling stylized acanthus leaves, leafy vinery and flower heads. All pieces apparently unmarked. Approximate sizes: tray height 1.6", diameter 17.5"; lidded punch bowl height 11.25", diameter of mouth 7.8"; cup height 4.75", mouth diameter 2.6". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Overall very good condition. There is gilt enamel loss on the rims of the glass, punch bowl lid and mouth and tray. There are minor scratches to the interior of punch bowl, the well of the tray (from punch bowl) and the underside of tray. Scratches are not distracting and are commensurate with age and usage. There are no chips, cracks or repairs noted.
