After Arne Jacobsen (Danish, 1902-1971), 20th century. An aluminum and aviator brown leather "egg" chair after the original design by Arne Jacobsen, with rounded shaped 'wings' and organic curves along with removable seat cushion, raised on cast aluminum base with 360-degree swivel and resting on the star shaped base made of polished steel fitted with black glides. Penalty tag states that the chair was manufactured by Halo Asia Limited, Hong Kong. Approximate height 45.5", width 31.5" (arm to arm), seat depth 17.5", seat height 17.5". Provenance: Property from the Private Collection of Helen Ballard, Atlanta, Georgia.
Structurally sound however there is a very slight wobble; possibly the base needs to be tightened to the seat. Leather is distressed given a nice worn appearance. Minor scuffing and oxidation to the base. All glides are present on the legs.
