Italian, c. 1970s. A lacquered parchment waterfall desk, the rust-colored lacquered parchment top comprising of four seamed boards terminating in a waterfall base at left end, and joined to a small white lacquered three-drawer cabinet at right end comprising of two small drawers over one large drawer, all drawer sides comprising of oak secondary wood, overall lacquered to a high gloss finish. With label stating "made in Italy" and "Ainsworth-Noah" dealer label. Approximate height 29", length 78", width 35.5". Provenance: From the Estate of Miss Charlotte Topping Smith of Atlanta, Georgia, wife of Rankin M. Smith (1924-1997) former owner of the Atlanta Falcons.
Desk breaks down to three pieces. There are a couple of small chips to lacquered top primarily on edges and not deep. Missing a screw under top to the three drawer cabinet. Scattered surface scratches commensurate with age and usage.
