Pierre Cardin (Italian/French, b. 1922), circa 1970s. A Mid Century Modern dining table in lacquered chocolate brown, the rectangular top is banded in chrome anodized aluminum and accommodates two additional matching leaves, which are included, top is raised on two block style supports, each with chrome anodized aluminum banding around the base . Table is signed 'Pierre Cardin' on the upper banding. Approximate height 29.4", width 74.25", depth 38.12", both additional leaves are 18" wide for over 108" total width.
Structurally sound. Overall good condition. Scattered surface scratches to chrome band. There is minor lifting at the corners of the chrome band (see image #3). Loss of finish to chrome banding at one end (probably from contact with chair). Minor scattered surface scratches to top commensurate with usage. Scattered chips to edges of supports. One leaf with small rub to top.
