Milo Baughman (American, 1923-2003) for James, Inc/ Thayer Coggin. "Scoop" lounge chair and ottoman circa 1953 produced by James, Inc. and later by Thayer Coggin. The chair covered in button tufted black naugahyde with stained wood frame, the angled ottoman similarly decorated. Apparently unmarked. Approximate chair height 27", width 27.5" (arm to arm), seat depth 20", seat height 15". Approximate ottoman height 14", width 24", depth 19".
Both chair and ottoman structurally sound. Minor surface scratches & knicks to exposed wood, however, not distracting. Few minute holes to naugahyde, one on top of chair and one on apron or seat rail. Back naugahyde cushion is separating from chair. Wood screw hole cover missing to back of chair. All wear commensurate with age and usage.
