- Lot Description
American, Circa 1970s. Mid Century style Ficks Reed rattan dining set comprising of a red lacquered extending oval dining table on simulated bamboo cluster legs and quadripartite base along with six matching swivel armchairs with orange cushions. One chair with Ficks Reed sticker. Approximate table height 29", width 66" (extended), width 48", depth 48". Approximate chair height 30.25", width 22.25 (arm to arm), seat depth 19", seat height 15".
Condition
Table - Two missing pads to feet, causing a slight wobble. White laminate top shows areas of discoloration & minor surface scratches--would benefit from good cleaning. Slight wear & paint loss to red vulnerable edge of table, commensurate with age & usage. Scattered slight paint loss to clustered legs, also commensurate with usage. Damage to one corner of simulated bamboo leg (back right leg on image #4). Chairs - Structurally sound. Three chairs retain Ficks Reed name plate. Scattered areas of slight paint loss to chairs. Scattered reed splits to legs, commensurate with age & usage. One chair with loose wrapped reeding. Seat cushions & seat backs show rips, stains, & wear.
