- Lot Description
Mexican, circa 1960s. A modernist streamlined sterling silver water pitcher of oval form with vertical strap to one end over a cutout handle, with flat top surface bearing ovular piercing beside everted edge as spout. Underside with faint impressed marks including "STERLING 925" and "MEXICO" under an indistinguishable city or maker's mark, also with eagle form mark abandoned circa 1979. Approximate height 8", width 5.875", depth 3.25". Approximate weight 26.6 troy ounces.
Condition
Overall good condition. Spout is slightly irregular with minor depression or pinch. Edge around top of pitcher and base with small chips commensurate with contact. Scattered areas of small pitting. Scattered surface scratches. Interior and exterior surfaces exhibiting minor oxidation commensurate with age.
