Michael Novarese (American, 1957-1992). Circa 1980s ornate embroidered, beaded and sequined ladies evening jacket with pink, purple and yellow silk embroidered flowers amid green leaves on white sequined ground, collar and open front with gold beaded, metallic thread accented and cream loop embroidered borders. Jacket with silk taffeta lining in white. Label marked "MICHAEL NOVARESE" and back marked "997 A". Additional label on side from I. Magnin & Company for high-end fashion retailer. Size unmarked by fits roughly as a size 8. Shoulder seam to shoulder seam measures approximately 15.75". Collar to hem measures approximately 25.75".
Damage to one embroidered green leaf (likely from rubbing on arm) under arm on side left of jacket. Minor losses to white sequins (5 or under) on back right shoulder on border decoration. Possibly a few barely noticeable missing sequins or beads throughout. No other signs of damage, loss or repair.
