- Lot Description
Mexican, 20th century. Figural bowie knife with sterling silver blade at end of hand carved horn handle with dog portrayal with tongue extending between long canine teeth, sterling silver collar on neck. Marked on blade "TAXCO 925 MEXICO" with "TAM" for maker within. Overall approximate length 7.8". Total weight approximately 3.98 troy ounces.
Condition
Blade with oxidation to surface, with surface scratches and edge curl all commensurate with use. Collar with surface scratches. Figural handle with scattered abrasions and small ship under left eye. Teeth and tongue of figural handle with scattered abrasions and surface scratches.
