Mexican, 20th century. Large animal form figural sculptural wall hanging or bowl in the shape of a crab with brass elements with abalone inlay surrounding elongated copper basin form body. Marked on underside with "I MEXICO F.C.S. COBRE". Triangular hook on back for hanging on wall. Approximate height 2.6", width (across legs) 22", depth 12".
Good condition overall. Oxidation & scattered scratches to finish, especially the center, commensurate with age & usage. Green tone oxidation to back where pieces are joined. Abalone is pieced with no chunks missing.
