- Lot Description
Lane Furniture Company (American (Alta Vista, Virginia), circa 1970s. A matched pair of mid century modern black lacquer and maple wood night stands, night stands or bedside chests, streamlined in form having two drawers with maple wood pulls on a recessed base. Drawer marked with branded logo 'Lane, Alta Vista, Virginia'. Both cases with stencil mark '324, 771-31, SER-3886060'. Approximate height 22", width 20", depth 16".
Condition
Both night stands are structurally sound. Drawers open and shut smoothly. Tops show surface scratches to lacquered top. One stand with possible white paint (residue) to side in the form of a small brush stroke. White residue on maple pull. Other night stand has a deep scratch and small area of lacquer loss to the side. All wear is commensurate with age and usage.
