Max Milo (French, 20th century). "Les Acrobates (The Acrobats)", cast bronze, signed to side of each ball form. A group of two bronze sculptures in the manner of Fernando Botero (Colombian, b. 1932) depicting rotund and inflated nude female acrobats balancing on circus balls, one upside down on one hand on a large ball with her other arm held out for balance and legs splayed out above her, and the other squatting with one foot on the ball and stretching opposite arm and leg out for balance, the bronzes each to black stone cube integral bases. Inverted figure overall approximately 13.25" x 6.25" x 5.25". Squatting figure overall approximately 10.375" x 6.125" x 4".
Both figures have minor surface scratches and small flea bites to the stone bases, not distracting. The figure squatting has a chip to black stone base lower edge at corner. Wear is commensurate with age and usage.
