After Luca della Robbia (Italian, 1400-1482). Figural majolica glazed ceramic plaque with central white glazed rooster figure surrounded by wreath of grains and fruits including pomegranate, grapes, wheat, grape leaf among others, ceramic plaque surmounted to wooden board, apparently unmarked. Overall approximately 18" x 18" x 4".
Overall good condition. Scattered crazing to glaze throughout. Firing holes present in white glazing (visible in image 5). Small loss to right wing tip, stable and not particularly distracting. Backing board with some splitting, bolts with signs of oxidation. No other signs of damage, loss or repair.
