Louisville Slugger, Hillerich & Bradsby Co. (American (Louisville, Kentucky), 20th century) wood baseball bat, likely composed of Northern White Ash with branded marks for manufacturer in oval beside "Powerized" under lightning bolt. Also branded "GENUINE 180 MICKEY MANTLE LOUISVILLE SLUGGER" under blue signature "Mickey Mantle No. 7". End of bat with "4". Length approximately 34". Note: Mickey Charles Mantle (American,1931-1995) was also nicknamed "The Commerce Comet" or "The Mick". Mantle played Major League Baseball (MLB) as a center fielder and first baseman for the New York Yankees for 18 seasons, from 1951 through 1968. Mantle is regarded by many to be the greatest switch hitter of all time. Mantle was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974. In 1999, he was elected to the Major League Baseball All-Century Team.
