- Lot Description
Lowell Nesbitt (American (New York/ Maryland) 1933 - 1993). "Irises"- 1974, lithograph in colors, limited edition 32/50, pencil numbered lower left margin, pencil signed and dated lower right margin. Large lithograph print in bold colors of deep teal, crimson, goldenrod, and chartreuse depicting a stalk of irises with two blooms in red, yellow, and green arranged vertically on a solid teal blue ground. Framed approximately 50.875" x 38.125". Sight size approximately 39.25" x 26.5". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Ann Jacob of Highlands, North Carolina.
Condition
Work is hinged on board at top. Some handling creasing to left and right margins. Scattered light surface abrasion, more prevalent in central right. Work is printed on cream paper with even toning throughout. Colors are rich and saturated. With blind stamp under mat that reads "MMMK".
