French, late 19th/ early 20th century. A fine Louis XIV style dore bronze vitrine or display cabinet of thin vertical rectangular form raised on four scrolling feet and having two hinged glass doors to front covering two interior glass shelves, the side walls and top also of glass, the curio decorated as a whole with gilt bronze shells, scrolls, and flowers and at crest a human mask flanked to either side by an armorial shield form adorned with waves. Electrified with single bulb to top. Unmarked. Approximate height 21.375", width 14.5", depth 6". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Vitrine is in good condition and structurally sound. Bronze surfaces exhibit patination commensurate with age. There do not appear to be any repairs or replacements to the piece.
