- Lot Description
Continental, 20th century. A Louis XV style Rococo console table, having a serpentine form with a red marble top over a mahogany veneered apron mounted with foliated acanthine and rocaille gilt metal ormolu, with four tapering incurvate legs, each mounted with a figural gilt metal female busts and terminating in a toe cap, with a cross stretcher. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 38", width 61", depth 20.25".
Condition
Wear commensurate with age and use. Some large, older chips to marble top. Some scratching to wood. Some oxidation/tarnishing to metal. Polish residue to wood from mounts. Lower finial missing marble, appears to have been reattached. Scratching to wood. No other visible signs of damage or repair.
