- Lot Description
Louis XV style giltwood carved & upholstered banquette or bench with striped upholstery above a floral and scroll carved apron raised on cabriole legs carved at the knee with flowerheads and united by a shaped X - stretcher centered with patera, traces of pink paint under the gilt. Height 20", width 43", depth 17.5". Provenance: From the Estate of Jane O. Day of Atlanta, Georgia.
Condition
Banquette has been repainted. Repair to stretcher in the center (see image 9). Repair to area where stretcher meets leg. Minor separation of joints, commensurate with age (see image 3). Scattered nicks and chips, also commensurate with age. Fabric is clean and in good condition.
