Probably French, 19th Century. Louis XV style parcel gilt decorated settee, the scroll carved padded back centered with a shell and foliate cresting over a pair of padded carved arms, the serpentine seat over a conforming apron accented with carved rocaille on five cabriole legs carved at the knee with flowerheads and terminating on scrolled toes. The back, seat and padded rests upholstered in beige mohair. Height 42.3", width 65" (arm to arm), seat depth 24", seat height 15.25".
Structurally sound. Areas of chipping to finish along with small areas of chipping to carved elements primarily on the crestrail. Fabric is tight to back and seat. No odors, rips or tears.
