French, 19th century. Louis XV provincial carved walnut wood framed settee with undulating back with leaf tips and flowers on center crest above curved upholstered back in white to off-white cotton fabric, seat, elbow rests and fitted seat cushion. Apron with floral motif and carved fans in above four squat cabriole legs at front, four legs at back. Approximate height 32", width 74", depth 32.5", seat to floor 18.25".
Structurally sound. Minor chips to wood frame, commensurate with age & usage. Evidence of prior wormwood damage. Feet appear to be original. Settee has been reupholstered. Cushions are foam filled. No odors present. Area under cushion with small splattered stains, however, it cannot be seen.
