- Lot Description
Louis Vuitton (French, founded 1854), circa first half 20th century. A vintage designer rectangular hard case Alzer suitcase in signature tan monogram canvas with brass hardware and leather accents, the suitcase with "LV" monogrammed leather tape to all edges, brass caps to all corners and many rivets throughout, and c-form leather covered handle and triple brass locks to top; the hinged lid opening to reveal tan leather lined interior with double canvas buckling straps to interior for securing contents, accompanied with original key. Paper label to interior in brown ink on ivory paper "Louis Vuitton, Ave Marceau 78 bis Paris, NIce. 2 Ave De Suede" and printed with "913841" between double LV logos. Each locking clasp with impressed "LV" logo within in a circle; lock itself with impressed "Louis Vuitton", "Made in France" and "139031", accompanying key also with impressed "139031". Approximately 14.625" x 19.875" x 5.75",
Condition
Pre-owned condition. Minor rippling on exterior and interior. Visible surface scratches. Tarnishing and/or oxidation to hardware. Light scuffs throughout exterior and interior. Paper label to the interior has become loose. Lock is in working condition.
