- Lot Description
Louis Vuitton (French, founded 1854), 20th century. A monogram canvas Toiletry Case, with gold-tone brass hardware and corners, and a cowhide strap and luggage tag, opening to reveal a washable interior, with an additional storage case. Maker's marks to hardware, interior lid with label numbered 938530. Approximate height 10", width 14", depth 8.375".
Condition
Minor wear commensurate with age and use. Does not appear to have been used extensively, if at all. Some discoloration and darkening to handle and leather trim. Leather is dry and brittle to handle, and tag and handle are both cracking. Some tarnishing and minor oxidation to hardware. Interior is very clean. Additional interior storage case in plastic, and does not appear to have been used. Lock in working order. Lid sticks, likely from being closed for a long time. Leathery odor to interior. No other visible signs of damage or repair.
