- Lot Description
Louis Bosa (American, 1905-1981), "Bride with Umbrella", oil on wood panel, signed lower left "Bosa". Modern figural painting depicting a whimsical view of a bride with rosy cheeks, white veil and long gown falling gracefully through the air with a small black parasol or umbrella with a pink building with blue accented windows behind her. Verso of work also with "BOSA" in pink. Framed approximately 30.75" x 12.75". Unframed approximately 24" x 6".
Condition
Painting with minor losses to edges from rubbing on frame--not noticeable when in frame. Under black light examination, no signs of in-painting or retouches. Painting in excellent condition overall--with no signs of chips, lifting or unintended scratches. Frame appears to be original to the work but cannot guarantee this to be the case. Frame in good condition with no apparent condition issues.
