Loetz (Austrian, 1836-1947). Art Nouveau blue iridescent art glass vase with gilt portrait of a young beauty, the vase form with typically Bohemian round foot tapering up to a wide cylindrical shaft with bulbous protrusion at top below incurvate neck and flared rim, decorated to body with gilt portrait of a young beauty surrounded by floral and foliate vines, vase with polished pontil. Marked to underside "Loetz Austria". Approximate height 13.5", diameter 5.5". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Overall very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Scattered wear to the gilt enamel. Wear to the iridized finish particularly at the base of foot (see image #7). Areas of elongated included bubbles (under surface). Surface scratches to the bottom of foot as would be expected with age and usage.
