- Lot Description
Leonardo Nierman (Mexican, b. 1932- ), "Springtime", acrylic on masonite board, signed lower right. Modern abstract painting depicting sweeping forms and texture akin to wind with overlapping wind forms at upper left. Overall framed approximately 40.5" x 32.75". Unframed approximately 31.5" x 23.5".
Condition
Under blacklight examination, no apparent repairs or in painting. No apparent craquelure which is commensurate with a 20th century painting on masonite. One probable abrasion above center - not distracting. Some areas of lifting to edges, namely to top right edge beside corner, also with small chip to masonite approximately 6mm. Abrasion along right edge near center, approximately 6mm. Paint layer stable overall.
