Likely German, late 19th/ early 20th century. A large porcelain bisque Orientalist male seated figural nodder sculpture, the head and both hands being nodders, depicting a blonde male with braided hair twirled atop his head and a long moustache that extends below his chin, the man wearing pink, white, and peach garments with two ornately handled knives secured within belt, with arms stretched forward, his left hand holding a fan and right hand holding a teacup and saucer, the figure's legs crossed in a meditative pose. Indistinguishably marked to underside. Overall approximately 16" x 9" x 10".
Very good condition overall. No apparent chips, cracks, or repairs. Minimal wear to painted & gilt finish, commensurate with age. Traces of dirt residue. Would benefit from cleaning.
