Herend Porcelain Manufactory (Hungary, 1826- ). A large hand painted porcelain rooster or cockerel with rust fishnet patterning over most of the body, gold beak, purple, pink, and teal wings, and red, black, blue, and gold tail feathers, with rooster standing erect on white base decorated with purple and green swirls. Marked to underside with blue stamp "Herend Hungary Handpainted", impressed "Herend' and impressed mark "5030. Approximate height 15.8", width 14.6" (beak to tail), base width 7", base depth 5".
Excellent condition with no signs of damage, loss or repair. Light wear to bottom from shelf use.
