Chinese, early 20th century. Large Chinese polychrome enameled crackle glazed baluster vase, embellished with a battle scene accented with iron-oxide bands and branch form holders with raised foliage to the shoulder, the tapering base with iron-oxide band, the underside with an apocryphal Chenghua mark. Height 24", diameter of mouth 8".
Neck shows significant damage with repair and overpainting under black light. Chip to one of the branch form handles at shoulder. Minor wear to iron-oxide bands.
