Chinese, likely late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). A large cloisonne enameled patinated white metal tripod censor with dome shaped lid surmounted with reticulated bronze coiling dragon. The bulbous body with bronze decorated collar and upright scrolled handles mounted to the neck with a pierced cylindrical support, below the tripod legs headed with foo lion masks. The whole decorated overall with stylized lotus blossoms and scrolling vines in cloisonne enamels over turquoise ground. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 21”, width 15.25” (handle to handle).
Cloisonne allover with pitting. Some welds visible to metal, especially to handles, the metal also with patina loss and wear. Minor enamel loss to feet with scuffing to sides and underside. Surface altogether with minor scratches and grime.
