Chinese, late 19th/ early 20th century Qing Dynasty. A large round porcelain center bowl with blue underglaze decoration on white ground, the interior of bowl with central floral medallion accompanied by wide floral and foliate band at rim, exterior of bowl two finely painted opposing four clawed dragons on tondo surrounded by large and small peony blossoms, with cloud scroll band to rim and band of waves above round foot, which is simply adorned with a single blue line. Marked to underside with four cobalt underglaze calligraphic marks similar to the Xuande imperial reign mark. Approximately 6.375" tall, 15.75" diameter at opening.
Overall very good condition. Firing faults (tiny holes) are present. There are areas of roughness with minute flea bites and chips to the rim of mouth and foot, commensurate with age and usage. Tiny spots of iron residue or rust present but not overly distracting.
