- Lot Description
Italian, 20th century. Large oil on canvas painting depicting a view of Venice with gondola in canal in front of a view at left of the eglise Basilica di San Giovanni e Paolo (San Zanipolo) with Andrea del Verrocchio's equestrian statue of Bartolomeo Colleoni at right. Venetian landscape with figures painting with weathered painted aesthetic. Unsigned. Framed approximately 48.75" x 81.75". Unframed approximately 35.25" x 78.5".
Condition
Light scattered craquleure however paint layer stable. Painting with weathered patina created by artist on purpose--paint layer stable. Little to no in-painting under black light examination.
