- Lot Description
Likely Japanese, late 19th/ early 20th century. A large and well painted porcelain urn converted into an electrified lamp, the urn of high shouldered baluster form with figural cartouches reserved on a ground of blooming flowers and bordered by ruyi scrolls. Heightened allover with gilt accents. Lamp with gilded turned wood base and having single socket at top. Approximate height to finial 32.75", diameter 11". Provenance: From the Collection of Mr. Gerald Darby, Owner of Darby Mitchell Antiques of Atlanta, Georgia.
