Louis Comfort Tiffany (American, 1848-1933), early 20th century. A Tiffany Studios iridescent blue favrile art glass vase of elongated baluster form with folded glass at mouth forming four stem chambers, the three outer chambers with pointed edges, altogether raised on a round pedestal foot. Marked to underside "8428 D L.C.Tiffany Favrile". Approximate height 12.5", diameter 3.25". Provenance: Acquired from Leslie Hindman Auctioneers, Chicago, Illinois, October 5, 2010, "Fine Furniture and Decorative Arts", lot 1294, whereby acquired and sold to the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
There is a 1/2" deep vertical scratch through the finish on the neck as can be seen in image #5. Minor surface scratches commensurate with age and handling. Minor factory flaws in finish on circular foot. Scratches on the base of foot as would be expected with age and contact with surface.
