Joan Miro (Spanish, 1893-1983), "Inkblot" (M. 415; C.90) from "Je Travaille Comme un Jardinier" (I Work Like a Gardener) published by XXe Siecle Editeur, Mourlot, Paris, France in1964, color aquatint on wove paper, pencil signed lower right and numbered lower left "17/30" (additional edition in of 15 in Roman numerals, this image was produced with four different variations of color). Modern print depicting an abstract composition in yellows, blues, blacks, reds and green in an energetic manner typical of the artist's work. Black areas recall ink marks and splattering adding a whimsical element. Label on verso of frame noting title and limited edition. Framed approximately 17.5" x 16.5". Sight size approximately 8.75" square.
Work not examined out of frame (we do not wish to disrupt the integrity of the work). Work is not an offset lithograph. Sheet with light even toning. No signs of foxing. Light wear to edges from handling including light and mild creasing to corners. No signs of rips, tears or holes or damage.
