Jim Dine (American, b. 1925). "The Crash Series" - 1960, five lithographs on Arches paper, limited edition 8/33, published by Martha Jackson Gallery, each pencil titled, numbered, and signed to lower margin. The complete series of five prints with highly graphic and visceral expressions in black, many with cruciforms or crosses and the word "CRASH" amid swirling and crossing lines. Some with blind stamp to lower left corner of sheet "Pratt Graphic Art Center" around the pencil monogram "AD". Each framed approximately 37/5" x 25.375". Sheet size approximately 29.75" x 22".
Not examined out of the frame in order to preserve condition - sheets mounted floating within their frames with all four edges in view. Each sheet allover with even toning, some with slightly darker edges. Very light and scattered foxing to each sheet. No apparent rips, losses, abrasions, or pin holes.
