• Lot Description
  Jean de Botton (French, 1898-1978), "Fleurs Joyeuse"-circa 1966-1971, oin on canvas, signed to lower left "Jean De Botton". Fauvist style still life painting depicting a low porcelain vase with bright floral bouquet, with inscriptions to verso "1286 Jean De Botton 'Rythme de Fleurs et de Fruits' 1966-71'Fleurs Joyeuse dans Porcelaine de Sèvres' Sch VD. K T 16-20". Framed approximately 26.5" x 29.75". Unframed approximately 16" x 20". Provenance: Property of a private Virginia museum, sold to benefit the collection and conservation funds. Note: Alternative artist spelings include "Jean Isy de Botton."
